About Sensomed Philippines

Company Background

In April 1983, the ingenuity of the founder and president/ CEO of Sensomed Philippines, Incorporated Dante B. Arriola, saw the birth of local ophthalmic and otic industry in the Philippines. With the goal to counter the rising cost of medicines supplied by multinational companies in the ophthalmic and otic lines began the advent of locally-manufactured specialty medicines at more affordable prices.

Sensomed spearheaded the pioneering ophthalmic and otic products which now dominate the local market with humble beginnings in an office at Concorde Condomunium in Makati. This changed the colonial mentality of local physicians and patients alike, thereby developing trust in locally produced specialty products that in recent years have been emulated by other local pharmaceutical companies.

More than a million units have been sold. Our medicines are recognized by ophthalmologists and otolaryngologists, as well as prominent pharmacies such as Mercury Drug, Watson’s and South Star Drugstore and leading hospitals in the country.

Sensomed is now in its new home in Ortigas Center, Pasig City, where it continues to innovate and produce quality eye and ear care medicines for Filipinos.
